Get Campaigning right from home!

New York is the latest state in the DNC’s rollout of its online field organizing tool that enables grassroots activists to directly talk to their neighbors and register local voters.
The Neighborhood Volunteer program’s online platform lets volunteers take the initiative to get online, print out materials, and contact neighbors as is convenient for them between now and Election Day.

Despite the high ticket price of TV advertising or direct mail, face-to-face contact is the most effective form of voter contact. This program, part of the DNC’s 50-state strategy, gets volunteers communicating with people only they know best to explain why they think Barack Obama is the best choice for our future, and the candidate who will bring the change we need.

NYDems Chair June O’Neill had this to say about the program:

“We are thrilled New Yorkers now have this tool to take charge of their own neighborhoods and change the country. Democrats win elections when we talk to our neighbors about candidates and elections and why they matter. This innovative program encourages local volunteers to make direct contact with their neighbors, the most effective way to take the Democratic message directly to communities throughout New York.”
